A painting by Amanda Blake, an artist whose work I just love.
I love the longing and mystery infused in all of her work. I could stare at this forever and come to different conclusions every other moment. Gorgeous. (I could have made a smaller file, but I didn’t want to. The details, the details …..)
Beautiful. I wasn’t familiar with her work, so thanks for introducing me. I was fascinated with the arrows scattered around and finally found the woman shooting them in the far left corner. Lots of little discoveries to make.
Oh Tracey this is absolutely magical.
She packs in a lot of detail, and has really detailed characters. I love how she has story-titles–such cool ideas.
It’s kind of frightening, too. The brooms floating in the water, the arrows left over from some massacre …
Rae – It took me a while to find the archer too. I keep wondering what her purpose is. Like, is she good or bad or? I mean, it’s easy to assume she’s bad somehow, but I’m undecided and I LOVE that.
I have questions/ideas about every single element. It’s a mystery with a million possible solutions — all of them right.
She said it took her 2 years to finish this. LOVE it so much.
