This year, I didn’t see my first Christmas commercial until November 1st.
I’m not proud of the fact that I keep track of this.
I cannot find my shoes on a regular basis and yet this, this, I remember.

Apparently your shoes aren’t doing a good enough job of making you outraged (thereby making themselves memorable).
Scratch outraged–I meant *excited*. Sorry about that. . . I’m watching the Eagles play and *I’m* the one dealing with outrage. 🙂
Kate P — Football outrage is tough, indeed.
Do you listen to the radio at all? I try not to, however, at work a radio station is tuned on through the loudspeakers. On Nov. 3 we were still hearing political ads. When I went in to work on Nov. 8 it was Christmas music. Has Christmas music started earlier on the radio? I always thought it started after Thanksgiving.
When I was a little girl, lo those many years ago, when dinosaurs roamed freely amongst us, Santa Claus swooshing down the mountain on his Norelco electric razor signaled the beginning of the Christmas season.
Alas, no more.
Lisa — I pine for the Norelco Santa every Christmas.
