The kayoootest little black boy named Daviar gave this to me at The Beanhouse, as a tip on his birthday:
That didn’t scan well — and believe me, I tried. It says:
“I wrote a birthday dollar from Daviar and it’s a one-hundred dollar bill.”
It was his 6th birthday. He knew how to write “it’s.”
So cute. I am in love with Daviar.
hahahahaha
he wrote you a hundred dollar bill. I love him!
awwww!
I guess the trick is, taking kids like Daviar and successfully growing them into adulthood without them totally losing the kind of attitude that would write a $100 bill (with “it’s” used correctly, even) as a tip to a barista, in the process.
or maybe kids like that always retain their sweetness and there just aren’t enough of them in the world.
In my book it’s a real credit to one’s character to treat people in professions such as baristas, servers and cashiers nicely. Little Daviar is a treasure. (Although I’m sure that Tracey’s charm makes it easy to want to leave a $100 tip!)
