attention, slobs:

What is WRONG with you?? Didn’t your mama raise you right??

This is a post-holiday picture of just one section of one of the beaches where I live. Overall, 8,000 pounds of trash were collected.

Well, at least now I know how all the Beanhouse customers spent their 4th of July.

(And you sillies thought you wanted to come here for summer vacation. You are just precious.)

  1. When I lived on Okinawa, every Earth Day a group of soldiers and other installation employees would gather at a local beach to clean it up. While not as dirty as that post-holiday celebration, I was always shocked at how filthy the beach was.

It’d be so nice if folks would just clean up after themselves.

  2. I belong to a civic group that has, as one of their regular activities, “beautification.”

As in, going out and picking up all the crap people throw out of their cars along roads in town. It’s utterly disgusting, and now I can see why the snooty town where I grew up wanted to put off McDonald’s (and other fast-food purveyors with drive- through windows) moving in as long as possible: People who “drive through” also often seem to be people who think that because the food came IN through their car’s window, the cups, napkins, bags, wrappers, etc., should go OUT through their car window.

we’ve picked up tons (literally) of trash on any given Saturday. And the sad thing is, three weeks later, it’s almost back to where it was before.

    people who litter suck.

  3. It makes me mad. These beaches are beautiful places. I mean, people literally come from all over the world to surf here, swim here, hang out HERE. And it doesn’t usually look like this. It’s like people just LOSE THEIR MINDS because it’s a holiday. Gross gross pigs.

  4. What idiots!

And by the way…I frequently “drive through”, but I never “toss out” of the car window. Not all fast food junkies are inconsiderate louts.
