MB has been taking 8 mm film of the family when we get together these days. It’s so wonderful, all grainy and shaky with emotion. It’s suggestive, not entirely illustrative, and that’s the beauty of it.
Below are some screen shots I took of his footage from back in March of this year. It’s Original Banshee and I just doing some basic goofing around. I don’t really remember what I was doing or saying but she was just laughing so hard. Her little hand over her mouth is just so cute to me.
I love that girl.
These are so great! I LOVE the last one!
Sheila — Me too. It’s a funny little film clip. I am basically writhing around on the sofa for her amusement, I guess. Since there’s no audio to it, I have no idea what I’m saying to her, but she was cracking up. MB is good at catching little moments like that.
Oh, but I remember I was wearing one of MB’s t-shirts that fit me like a very loose, knee-length dress. Trampoline wear, I suppose.
She’s the little you, I think– the great actress from the Music Man, who was so engaged?
Looks like she’s keyed into real life at the same level.
You two look beautiful together.
roo — Aw, thank you.
And, yes, this is our little budding actress.
That kind of laughter is good for the soul! How awesome that you enjoy each other’s company so much. And as always, excellent cinematography by (your) MB.
