Here’s a short video snippet I took of 18-month-old Banshee Boy — now known as Happy Jack — on Labor Day. I had just taught him the all-important life skill of whistling into a Sharpie lid.
You know, I’m so glad he’ll be able to share at my funeral about all the ways I changed his life.
I love his little “oh” at the end. Stay tuned for the last word of the video; it gives a hint at his real name, which we don’t mention here and still won’t. Also, I’m kind of laughing at the conversation in the background between my brother and sister-in-law about what to give Happy Jack to eat. He had a bit of a virus that was giving him troubles ….uh, down south …..so they were in a bit of a dither as to what to feed him. Haha.
Anyhoo …. for the curious …… and for those who love cuteness …… there he is. Oh, and my voice is there too. Bleah.
Yep, that’s cute! And you have a great voice. I’m off to practice my pen cap whistling.
Brian — Oh, yes, pen cap whistling is da bomb!
Awww! The “oh” is like, “I got this–just like Tee Tee taught me.”
Such cutness!! You have a nice voice, I always think I sound like Minnie Mouse after she sucked helium. In all seriousness if he and Buttercup do not work out I would like to throw it out there that I have an adorable 12 month old who is a boob grabber so they would make quite the pair! =)
Kate P — The “oh” just makes me laugh. I agree — it’s what you said, but also, “Oh, I have to take the lid off here.” He tries to just stick the whole pen up to his mouth then “oh.” He realizes his error. Hahaha.
Tracey H. — Thanks! Yes, Sarahk and I are actively arranging their marriage.
Oh my goodness.
Blue cap on a yellow sharpie = *d’awwwwwwww CUTE*!! Happy Jack makes me smile.
NF — The blue cap/yellow Sharpie thing cracks me up too. That, and the fact that if you look closely, he has a Sharpie line on his cheek.
I love how he’s watching my reaction when he’s putting the lid on his chin, basically. Like, “Tee Tee, am I doing it right?”
“Whatcha doin’?”
“Good.”
Hahaha. Love that butterball.
That kid has, what we would call, a marketable skill!
Daw!
He’s growing up! (Well, duh. That’s what we do.) But I mean, his face looks little boy more than baby, now.
sunriiise, sunset, sunriiiise, sunset…
He’s a cutie.
