I think what I like about them, over and beyond the obvious love and happiness and sweetness radiating from the two, is the contrast between the mother’s dark slimness– that hair and those long limbs– and the baby’s brightness, all that pale hair, and his little chunka chunka baby frame.
No doubt he’ll grow to be slim and rangy like the rest of your family, but right now he’s so solid and squeezable. And the photo captures that in a really visceral way.
