Mixed media piece; paper, watercolor, acrylic on canvas. Niece Piper was the inspiration — was thinking of her since she’s coming to visit this weekend. Wanted to do something soft, sweet, simple.
Then, because I’m a cheeky bugger, I scanned it again and inverted the colors in iPhoto.
Super-electric blithe spirit.
Wow. They’re both beautiful – I can’t decide which one I like better (not that I really have to, it’s probably not required of me, huh?) – I just keep going from one…to the other…to the other. Pretty cool, Tracey.
I’m just looking at them again – I really like the sort of tug at the corner of her mouth. Almost heading into a smile, but who knows. At least, that’s how it looks to me. I really like her face.
Tracey – these are incredible. I love her necklace and her belt. And also the way she seems to be floating through watercolor-y polka dots … I love these. The second one looks like she could be a mermaid, or some type of Lorelei … with those deep ocean-ish colors. Really beautiful – thank you for sharing.
These are really good! It’s like “Yellow Submarine” without all the acid. Very groovy!
absolutely precious.
Lovely work, Tracey! Thank you for sharing with us.
Sweetly cosmic–the necklace is awesome. . . something tells me your niece could make the universe revolve around her with a bat of her eyelashes.
With the colors inverted, she does look like a mermaid. She’s a blithe Lorelei mermaid.
NF — /”Yellow Submarine” without all the acid./ Hahahahaha! But … how can you be sure …. 😉
Thank you, everyone. It’s kinda naked feeling to put this stuff out there. So, thanks.
