I couldn’t agree more with what she says; so often it’s the players in those pivotal smaller roles who imprint on our hearts and memories, win our cinematic devotion, even. So I say YES, hooray, let’s celebrate the character actors!!

Don’t get me started on the fabulousness of character actors. Just DON’T.
My children will not sit with me in the movies b/c I nudge them and whisper “see him? That’s _______ and he was the _______ in “_______” and the ________ in “__________” and so on and so on, etc. etc. ad nauseum. (Or I did until I acquired middle-aged memory loss.)
