It’s weird when you walk into a bookstore, pick a up magazine you normally pick up, and see your friends on the cover.
“Oh! Hi, you guys!”
Kind of weird.
Cool, but weird.
(Go check it out. Their house is fabulous.)

I’d love to check out the house… but you didn’t link to the article! 🙂 I found the page for this issue but can’t find your friends; please help!
Are these the people who will be building us our yurts for the commune?
AHA! I think I’ve got it. I recognize the dog in the slideshow! The home is amazing – I just hope it’s the right one…
Oh, I wasn’t thinking! I was just like, “Oh, people will go buy the magazine.” Sorry, NF!
That’s the right one. It’s pre-fabbed. Kind of amazing. I think Sheila would like slide #8.
Neat house–and look at all those books! Loving that.
Kate P — I know. Fabulous. He’s an antiquarian book dealer. Just one of the things he does.
Oh, the things he must find. . . (book nerd swoon)
Wow. I am drooling over the cypress-table – it’s my ideal table. For work, having friends over, whatever – amazing!!!
Kate P — I think a lot his books are food and wine related; they aren’t that exclusively, but that’s his “specialty.” He’s also an artist. He and MB grew up together in the deep dark middle of nowhere.
sheila — That table really is spectacular. I love the vine chandelier, too.
NF — I have seriously looked into the yurt thing and I think it’s much less complicated than this, pre-fabbed or not. You can do some pretty amazing things to the inside of one of those darn yurts.
Awesome home. Awesome table. This comment about wanting to have a fireplace large enough to cook a whole boar made me want to be their friends too!
