easter earthquake

So. Yeah. We had a 7.2 earthquake here in SD about 2 hours ago, epicentered in Mexicali. Too darn close for me. That thing was SCARY, pippa. Yowza.

We’re fine, though.

More later.

(May I remind you: Yikes. Also Eek.)

  1. I was wondering about you guys in SD. What did it feel like? Where were you? I’ve never experienced even a little earthquake, so I am curious about what it’s like to go through it. Dunno that I’d really like to do it, myself, but I’m curious anyway.

  2. I felt that one quite well up here, so I am sure things were quite shaky for you.

GradD, it is a bizzare, almost inexplicable feeling. It comes upon you without warning, and by the time you register what is happening, and consider freaking out, it’s over. For me, the only thing that scares me is wondering if and when the “big one” will hit and how bad it will be…which happens for me a few minutes after the shaking.

But I only spend a few minutes in that “what if” place, because you can’t spend your life worrying about it. If it isn’t the earthquake it will be the cancer, or the heart disease or the runaway bus. You know how it is.

Anyway…glad you’re all okay. Those girls are just beautiful!!!
