I have fond memories of my 3rd and 6th grade teachers doing this from this series. I’ve read the whole set because I enjoyed hearing it so much. Here’s hoping the schools never become so PC that teachers can’t continue to read stories of the growth of America like these. I love them and I’m thrilled that my daughter is reading them now.
They may be written from the female point of view, but there’s enough tomboy and adventure in these for guys to like them as well. At least, that’s what I tell myself.
