I got a lovely email from reader Mandy — a hilarious email, actually — where she talked about her Twilight issues. (I am proud to now be a sounding board here for anyone to express their interest, abashed or unabashed, in the Twilight series.) She said she’d recently purchased some mini buttons for her sister and herself that feature a stick woman yelling at a stick man: “Sparkle, you fool! Sparkle!”
So, of course, I Googled, and, I think I found the button Mandy referred to here.
We are all ripe with insanity.
That is almost, but not quite, the button I found. The one I found has slightly more detailed stick folk. It is also at cafepress, though. Did you get a chance to look at some of the other Twilight stuff there? Pretty funny!
More detailed stick folk would be better, I think. Although, one cannot expect too much — they are stick folk. And no, I didn’t see any other Twilight stuff. I should look around.
Hi Tracey, I’m Mandy’s sister, Tammy. I enjoy your Twilight insanity, as well:) I am strongly thinking of getting a bunch of those buttons to keep in my purse to give to anyone my age that I find is also obsessed with Twilight. It is almost a sisterhood at this point – everyone who reads experiences the same phenomenon, which is, of course, insanity. Thanks for your entertainment and for making me feel better 🙂
Tamaita — (First, what a lovely name.) And I love your idea; what a fun way to connect with others in the “sisterhood.” That’s a perfect way to describe it. We’re all just a smidge insane about it all, but it’s FUN.
I love it!
Tracey, Thanks about the name…my nickname and my maiden name together – I got the hotmail address when I was in college and I’m not giving it up:)
It IS a wonderfully fun madness:) Have you read Midnight Sun and then read Twilight right after it? There are some amazing connections between the two that one would never catch onto having not read Midnight Sun.
Okay…I just finished reading Twilight last night(for the first time). I am going out at lunch today to hunt down the next book.
I get it.
Tamaita, I have, and it’s so much more fun after Midnight Sun. I do so hope that Stephenie will finish it.
Maggie May–YAY! A new convert!
Tamaita — YES! I have read Midnight Sun! I read it with my laptop in one hand and a copy of Twilight in the other! NUTSO!!
MM — Oh, no. You’ve been turned, too. Hee hee hee!
