Okay. So the title is contradictory. I know. “Best” is best. How can there be another best thing ever? There just is. A while back, I said that this was the best thing in the world ever. And it is. It’s just that this is, too. If your well of cheer is dry, this will fill it up. I guarantee it. I do.
“Little handpainted people, left in London to fend for themselves”:
I am completely in love with the mind behind this whole thing. Genius.
Of course, one must hope that the little snail fellow did not suffer any sort of trauma or discomfort by having to carry the little folk… but following your kindly provided link, we see that the main page, as it were, kicks off with a wee fellow, uh, wee-wee-ing on the site. Although this may be an artistic interpretation of modern day London chaos or subtle comment on the vanity of art’s fleeting moments, if it was submitted to the NEA here in the states, the fellow would be a millionaire already!
I am with you, totally with you. That is awesome. Snails need their day. Maybe you should have used the word “bestest” or “bester” in the title…
Thanks, I am full.
I just know that this is a fulfilled child fantasy.
having some sort of pathological fascination with tiny things……I must agree……best thing ever.
Hey, I just realized that Curious Friend critter Spike has a British cousin in the arts–that’s cool!
I can’t get over the fact that these are installations and he goes back to check on them later. Most times they aren’t there anymore. It’s like performance art in a way.
