“Gloria did nothing in the nighttime.”
“That was the curious incident!”
Heheheheheh. No, sorry. Let me start over.
“To Gloria, the nighttime was a storyteller, a friend, and a secret refuge. The day would insist that she was small and shy and tired from walking – and why aren’t you there yet, Gloria? You are late. Can’t you see? In the nighttime, there was no place she had to be, except where she was already, so she need never rush. She could take the distant lights of traffic for swirling snowflakes, and dress for winter, and spread her mittened hands wide to touch both sides of the world, filled with boundless strength; and the sun could not tell her otherwise.”
“The nighttime showered Gloria with the fine lights of the stars. Nighttime was the only time a shy person like Gloria could feel herself shine. When nighttime surrounded her, the spotlight denied her in the daytime appeared, and the world fell quiet and still, focused on her and the important things she longed to say.”
Tracey. That is damn good.
I could tell a million stories just from looking at that picture.
let’s all write a story together, Sheila or Tracey give us the first line.
Hm.
Oh, how ’bout:
“They had a long and strange relationship, Gloria and the nighttime.”
I love the glimpse of blue glove.
