everything old is new again

Ohh, hahahahaha.

A competition where movie classics are re-edited to look like completely different movies. This one’s the winner. I don’t want to give away what movie it is. Go see for yourself. I’ve already watched it too many times, so I need to pass the urge along …. that way, perhaps I can be free ….

UPDATE: Oh, I should add, it’s only a trailer, not an entire movie. Hint: “Red rum, red rum, RED RUM!”

  1. I’m very confused right now. I still think that The Shining was one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen, and just seeing some of those scenes again freaked me out a little bit (they showed him kissing the scary lady in room 237! Aiiieeee!). But then, that was also really funny. So am I scared, or amused? I don’t know!
I think it’s also a really good demonstration of the power of movie soundtracks.

  2. They did cheat a little bit. They added the “I’m your new foster father” line. But I kinda think they had to, so I’m not taking off any points for that.
Are there any other trailers like this?

  3. There were two others at that site: ps260.com, but they were not nearly as good — a West Side Story one and a strange Titanic one.

And where did they get that foster father quote, I wonder? It’s sounds like Jack!
