You have obviously never seriously played the game. It is the world’s only obsessive-compulsive pastime which can also be good for the soul.
San Diegans should be pleased and happy that the ideals and aspirations of Kevin Costner’s “Tin Cup” are at Torrey Pines this year.
I resemble that remark. Knitting does the same, plus you have a hat or a scarf or sweater when you’re done, instead of just a tan.
Golf keeps your butt in check better, though.

I live in a subdivision that has (apparently) a pretty sweet golf course, and we just got done hosting some big tournament. Lots of famous golfers in town, so I’m told.
People kept asking me if I was excited about the golf tournament being near my home, was I going, etc? Nope, mostly I was annoyed at how inconvenient it was to get in and out of my house, traffic tied up all across the neighborhood, random people traipsing practically through my backyard, etc…Plus, it’s boring.
Messing around with Susan Sarandon is even worse for the soul! (Especially if Tim Robbins got to her first…)
