Okay. I really think I could totally do this one. Looks pretty obvious to me how it’s done. So please do this tomorrow on your morning cappuccino and send me a photo, ‘mkay? Get on that, crackie.

  1. I’d like to know if there’s a way to do this without milk. Do soy products foam? Sometimes I feel as if I’m missing out on a whole tasty category of coffee beverages.

  2. Soy does foam, although some brands better than others. We used the kind from Costco and it worked pretty well. Can’t remember the name. Here’s what you could do. Heat the soy milk — needs to be about 140-160 degrees. Then if you buy this little wand thingie called Aerolatte, you can make a pretty good foam with it.

  3. I’m a little afraid of Costco–it’s a total mob scene all the time at the local one. But I might brave it if it’s got the good soy. And the aerolatte looks like fun! Thanks. 🙂

  4. Well, it’s a decent substitute — the Aerolatte — if you don’t have a home espresso machine, which I don’t. If you hate Costco, just get any ol’ soy and try this method. I think the Aerolatte is around 30 bucks. Takes a little bit of finesse to work it, but not much.
