Looky what I found! A totally whackadoodle test that SEES INTO YOUR INNERMOST BEING. For real, dudes.
Okay. Ready?
Take this test and don’t cheat. Don’t read ahead, just do it in order. It takes about 3 minutes.
First get a pen and paper.
When you actually choose names, make sure it’s people you actually know, and go with your first instincts. (Uh, this is key. I just made up one random name in the game because I didna’ read zee instructions.)
Scroll down one line at a time – don’t read ahead or you’ll ruin the fun! (OKAAY!! DAMN.)
1. First, write the numbers 1 through to 9 in a column.
2. Then, beside numbers 1 and 5, write down the names of members of the opposite sex from you. (Boys write girls. Girls write boys. Just to clarify. Ha. People you know, remember. Don’t make my fatal error.)
3. Write anyone’s name (like friends or family) in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots.
4. Write down four song titles in 6, 7, 8, and 9th spots. Just whatever comes to mind.
Stop! Do not scroll down until you’re finished answering the questions! (You, know, I just copied and pasted these directions and I have to say, I find them very bossy and controlling. They need to calm down.)
.
.
All righty …………
.
Here is the key for the game…
1. The person in space #1 is the one that you love. (Hope it’s the right person; otherwise, you may want to trash these results. And you know, good luck with that.)
2. The person in 5 is one you like, but it wouldn’t work out. (Maybe ’cause of the existence of person #1, Testy O’Troublemaker??)
3. You care most about the person you put in 2. (Too bad for you, Numbers 1 and 5! This is where, tragically, I just wrote a random name. I mean, I don’t know — have never known — anyone named Joan. But wherever, whoever, you are, Joan, I care most about you; I really do.)
4. The person you name in number 3 is one who knows you very well.
5. The person you name in 4 is your lucky star. (Aw. I answered my niece, The Peep.)
6. The song in 6 is the song that matches with the person in number 1. (‘Crazy.’ Hahaha. I put MB for #1, so this is fairly accurate on many levels.)
7. The title in 7 is the song for the person in 5.
8. The #8 song is the song that tells you most about your mind. (Right. Okay. Hm. I answered ‘Kiss Me.’ Thaaat’s right. Wait. No, get offa me. Don’t kiss ME. KISS MY MIND! KISSS IT!)
9. And #9 is the song telling how you feel about life. (Uhm, my answer was ‘My Way.’ MMMY WAAAAAY!!)
All right. Anyone come up with anything interesting? That they won’t get in trouble for sharing? 😉 I mean, all we learned about me is that I care deeply about some Joan person — of Arc? Fontaine? Cusack? — my husband makes me crazy — but this is not any real revelation. I want everthing MMMY WAAAY and my mind is screaming out to be kissed. KISSSS IT!! KISS MY MIND, GOOBERS!!
Oh my gosh…1 and 2 are absolutely true. (or at least, I like to think 1 is true, he probably isn’t even aware of my feelings. And NO it is not a situation where it would be easy or comfortable or perhaps even possible to inform him of that). 5 made me laugh because not only is that person married but he is someone I totally could NOT hang with for very long (even if he weren’t, you know, married). (you didn’t SAY the opposite-sex people had to be “available.”)
#9 though…I re-watched “This is Spinal Tap” just recently, and so I put down (in a fit of desperation trying to think of song titles) “Gimme Some Lovin'” (their Beatles-esque number). (Could have been worse…I could have gone with “Big Bottom” or whatever their ode to fat chix was called.)
ricki — Yeah, my #5 was MB’s brother, mainly — I think — because I wrote those answers one after another and when I say MB’s name, it just flows to think of his brother’s name. And I love my b-i-law, but I definitely married the right brother for me. My “song” for him (#5) was Bohemian Rhapsody. I like that for him.
Okay. I’m just laughing at how much I can enjoy really stupid stuff like this.
Okay, I put Jailhouse Rock for #9 and I can’t stop laughing.
#1 is the guy I love. If he called me today and said, “Marry me” I would. He actually DID ask me to marry him about 10 years ago and I said “yes” but then he got freaked and backed out because (frankly) he was barely legal. “I can’t marry you NOW,” he cried, in a panic. “I just wanted to make sure that I was always on the back burner!” Ah, younger men. I’m not even “in love” with him – I just love him and have for years. I think we’d be a great couple.
And I love that #4 is my lucky star. I put down this woman I’m working with now on a bunch of projects – she’s 25 (which means she’s wayyyyyy younger than me) -but she is awesome and ambitious and funny and smart and all kinds of great stuff has come into my life since I started collaborating with her.
Oh, and for #8? I put “Mean Mr. Mustard”. hahahahahahaha
sheila — Your “Mean Mr. Mustard” is way better than my “Kiss Me.” I had no idea my brain was such a sap. It’s upsetting.
And yes, where IS that #1?? I think you’d be a great couple, too. 😉
Oh, and here’s to younger lucky stars: mine just turned 7. Hahahahaha.
Ohhhhh!!! Of course she’s a lucky star!!
My #1 is now dating someone. Bah humbug!! He’s notoriously fickle though (except when it comes to me). So whatevs. We’ll get married when we’re in our 70s or something like that. Teetering towards one another on the dance floor with our walkers and hearing aids. How romantic.
#1 The one I lurve: My sweet Tef… Awwww. But “our song” is [chuckle] “Useless Desires” by Patty Griffin. Um…
#4 My lucky star: My sparkly friend, C.
#5 It would never work out: Was creepily right-on. In soooooo many ways. “Our song” was “Don’t Bring Me Down” by ELO. How funny is that?
#8 A reveal into my mind: Stan Getz, “Girl From Ipanema”. *le sigh*
#9 My philosophy on life: “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. I like that!
#1 was the Ladybug. Huzzah. And the song – because I was surfing elsewhere and the album came up – was Donald Fagen’s “New Frontier.” I happened to be humming it to myself during the quiz. Still, my girl does have a touch of Tuesday Weld. =)
#5, I made the fatal error. I do not actually know any Mary. (Mary Pickford? Mary, Queen of Scots? The Blessed Mother?) And my #7 song was a strange instrumental called “Super Trampoline School Kid.”
#2 was my brother, who’s been on my mind a lot lately. And, naturally, after that #3 was my sister.
#4 was a friend I was just having a phone conversation with a half-hour ago: my co-blogger. So, uhm…. NO, not really my lucky star.
#8 – The Seatbelts, “Too Good Too Bad.” Fantastic song, great tempo, lots of brass… this one worked.
#9 – Aw. I was stumped until I saw my Anderson Council bumper sticker, and thought of “Strawberry Smell.” Another really great song most of you have never heard. (This comment may require some assembly.) It’s a retro-pop love song from a local band we saw while we were dating.
Hahahahahaha. Some were spot on (#5 – I love my “gay boyfriend” but, no, it would NEVER work for rather obvious reasons. Ha), some were way off, but mostly I am amused because:
My #8 – song that tells the most about your mind – was Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get it On”
Uh-oh.
Also – my #9 – the song about life right now – was Etta James’ “At Last.” Seriously. Spot On.
This test is really cruel if you don’t have a significant other. [/rant] Numbered according to the “scoring”:
#1–well, I have at least 4 relatives with the name I picked, including my big bro. Yeah, I love him.
#2–Yeah, I don’t think it would work out b/c it’s my GRANDFATHER. This isn’t 500 B.C.
#3–Care most about my niece (Sheniquah Rose)? Dunno about “most,” but “Aunt Kake” definitely cares about her a LOT.
#4–I’m not sure my 22 month old nephew knows me “very well”. . . but he does associate me with certain things, like we MUST ALWAYS read the alphabet picture book at my parents’ house together. And he knows how much I love being surprised with a big sloppy kiss on the cheek. 🙂
#5–My sister is my lucky star. Yup, I just think of her and “I start to glow.”
#6–song for #1 is “Running up That Hill.” Hmmm. Well, it IS about men and women who love each other but struggle to understand each other. Yeah, that might work.
#7–I don’t think my Pop-Pop would understand why Travis is singing “Afterglow” to him. (“You are the midnight show. . .” Nope.)
#8–my mind: “Ave Maria”? Um. . . let’s just put it this way–last year I entrusted the two major challenges in my life (that I’m still in the thick of right now) to Mary’s intercession, and lately I’ve been getting the feeling I could have success in both of them in the near future. Hope that wasn’t too personal.
#9–how I feel about life: “Take a Chance on Me”? That sounds about right. . . “Hey, universe, would you cut me a break sometime, please?” I don’t think anything tops “My Way,” though.
#5 was my grandson and his song was “You Are My Sunshine”
Awwww….
#8 was ‘Stardust’- that was random.
#9 was “Pay Me My Money Down” – even randomer.
