  1. Well, I’m a heterosexual guy, so all I know is I was really glad when Tom Selleck shot Rickman dead toward the end of “Quigley Down Under.” Served him (or his character, anyway) right. Rickman, I’ll admit, had ALMOST redeemed himself by feeding the straight line leading to a wonderfully weary Selleck response.

    “Some men think they’re born in the wrong century. I think I was born on the wrong continent.”

    “This ain’t Dodge City. And you ain’t Bill Hickock.”

    And then they draw. I guess Rickman at this point does prove that he’s that feminine dream of “a man with a slow hand.”

    But I’m not going down without a fight. He is a worthy cause, indeed.

    What took Marianne so dang long to realize his dreaminess!?!?!? I would SWOOON at his first word.
