  1. I read that piece, too, and just absolutely loved it. The details of personality he was able to capture, their working relationship and competition – just a beautiful essay. I miss Gene Siskel.

  2. I felt like I knew Gene Siskel, just from reading that. I loved the tuning fork analogy he started with. The whole thing, yes, so detailed, so full of the man, and yet not sentimentalized. Perfect.
