Earlier, Bob Costas interviewed Nastia and Shawn in the studio, with the girls sandwiched on the couch next to Bela Karolyi.
And I couldn’t help but notice: The beefy peach’s feet didn’t even touch the floor. It was a heart-melting moment for me.
So because I’m completely smitten with her chipmunk adorability, I think she needs another somepin’ somepin’ for her cage. I’m pretty fond of this Lincoln Log Cabin for Pocket Pets and Olympic Gymnasts:
In this homey abode, she can tumble about AND recite the Gettysburg Address.
(Just beware of the theater, beefy peach!)
I just realized this in talking w/ my husband. This moment will now always reflect back on the mom when they talk about it in their family b/c someone will inevitably say, “Yay, you were great, but remember how you had to text mom to tell her that you won?”
She truly has stolen her daughters moment, the nasty evil woman!
This is so precious…
BTW, have I told you I love your Olympics coverage? So beyond the pale.
I’m loving your new home for your beefy peach! The little window for her to peek out of is priceless.
Your story about her feet not touching the floor reminded me of the footage they showed of her at school. She’s at her locker and then walks into a sea of kids, and she’s so teeny tiny, compared to everyone else. I think someone almost stepped on her. All the more reason for her to have a very special cage, made just for Olympic medal winning pocket pets.
Missy — Thanks! I’m having a blast!
Kristina — I know, I think I saw that too. She’s just so squeezable, so adorable.
