list

I stumbled across these words and phrases scratched as a weird list in my notebook, waiting, I guess, to be fleshed into something else. I just kind of free associated when I wrote them, as I remember. Anyway, I decided to post them as-is.

ice packs
neck
back
everywhere
healing magnets
masking tape
egg crate mattress
flopped on floor
wigs too blonde
bottles of pills
growing
growing
your glowing pain
red
yellow
constant
stained stale air
red planet
don’t breathe
burnt orange and
hot
beggared light of life

  1. Not to dampen the air of creativity, but for a second there I thought it was the dog-poo-roses customer back for another talkathon.

I have scraps of notes everywhere for revising my novels, but that big chunk of time to translate them all never seems to come along. Does that happen to anyone else with their writing notes?

  2. Kate – yes it does. I use index cards, and every once in a while, during some organizing jag, I’ll come across a stash of cards from the last organizing jag. It’s like finding the first Sumerian tablets. (Uh – what did “inv char arc – pro/ant, in/out” mean?)

It does sound like one of Sheila’s Random List Story Starters, but I’m not in a position to do anything about it right now, unfortunately.
